Fashion (A Random Assortment of New Things)...

Sunday, 11 June 2017

I'm actually terrible at writing up blog posts to do with fashion, and normally tend to avoid the subject a bit in all honesty - however, to create a bit of a break from the usual makeup review or vinyl haul that you usually find on here, I thought that now was the right time to finally branch out and try and write up a little something about my most recently bought fashion items once again!

(Be warned, I'm actually quite awful at taking photos of pieces of clothing though!)

New Shoes

A few weeks back it occurred to me that I was really in need of getting myself some new, comfy shoes. At Christmas, I had a pair of Converse which are literally the comfiest, and have managed to rack up a lot of wear over the past few months., however, I did kind of need to purchase another pair of trainers so I could sort of mix and match between the two. Therefore, I decided to make the trip to Schuh to take a look at the collections of Vans that they stock...

Straight away, I set my sights on a pair of grey old school Vans, and after trying them on just knew I had to purchase them - and I was definitely right to do so, as the past few weeks have proved just how comfy these shoes are, let alone how nice they look!

New Band T-shirts

I love music, and so I also absolutely love band t-shirts! Lately, I have been trying to up my band t-shirt game, so when I went to Edinburgh a few weeks ago, I just knew that I had to get one of the many t-shirts that they sold in the record store that I visited. The tee that I happened to decide upon getting was a Joy Division one, featuring the 'Unknown Pleasures' album cover, and I can safely say that since making my purchase I have certainly been getting my wear out of said t-shirt, as I just really love it!!

When looking for band t-shirts, I do normally just head to HMV though,  where I know they have a large variety of items - however, I must say that said items aren't always that cheap, and so I certainly got a little excited when I found a market stall a few months ago that sells quite a large collection of band t-shirts for a very reasonable price! So far on my trips to the market, I have managed to find a Smiths 'Meat is Murder' t-shirt (which I now wear as a pyjama top), and also a really cool Stone Roses t-shirt that you can see below (please excuse the fact that the t-shirts featured in this post look a bit creased haha). Both of these t-shirts are actually of a fairly decent quality, and I am particularly loving wearing the Stone Roses one at the moment as it looks great when either tucked into jeans or a skirt!

It has actually been a few weeks since I purchased this bag, as I in fact bought it for the purpose of being a practical bag that I could take with me when I visited Edinburgh back in April. However, it has now pretty much turned into the bag that I use almost every day - bought from M&S for £25, this bag is literally the perfect colour as it seems to go with virtually every outfit, and it is also the perfect size as it fits in all of my essential bits and pieces (e.g. my purse and phone etc), whilst the fact that I can wear it across my body makes it ever more practical for everyday use.

New Sunglasses

I think I actually have a bit of an obsession with buying sunglasses (to be honest, a blog post about my sunglasses collection would be a great idea), and so I'm always on the look out for a new pair. Whilst in Topshop the other week, I noticed how great their selection of sunnies actually looked - after trying on a few pairs, I completely fell in love with the cute little pair that you can see below, and I have since been loving wearing them during the warmer and sunnier weather that we have been experiencing (although, with so many cool pairs of sunglasses around at the minute, I will probably end up buying another sooner or later)!
