I must admit that it was a good couple of years ago that I first tried any makeup by Smashbox, and it was on that occasion that I first got my hands on the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara. It was only a miniature, travel-sized mascara that I tried back then, as a part of a box set of bestsellers by the brand, but from my first use of the product I just knew that I loved it, and was ultimately quite sad when it dried out and became unusable some months later...
Despite my love of the Smashbox mascara, I didn't exactly make an effort to go out and repurchase it afterwards, and instead just slipped back in with my usual pattern of merely buying my mascaras from Benefit. It wasn't until my Mom bought me one of the Smashbox mascaras for my Birthday, that my love of this product was rediscovered, and I therefore thought it would be nice to tell you all today, a little about why I love this particular mascara so much!
Firstly, I must say that this mascara is probably up the more high end sort of end, in terms of price (although, Smashbox as a whole is pretty high end, so you probably guessed that already) and for £19.50 this mascara probably doesn't fall under an every day purchase. However, I must say you definitely get what you pay for with this product - just like with the other few Smashbox items that I have tried in the past, the quality is really high with this mascara, whether it be in the form of it sleek black packaging and bottle, or the general great quality of the product itself.
The applicator on this mascara is pretty massive, which kind of made me feel a little wary at first considering the fact that with the travel-sized bottle it wasn't so large (I don't think anyway). However, I quickly got to grips with the shape and style of the wand, and have found it pretty useful to have such a large applicator, as it really does help to get product on every single one of the lashes, which in turn creates quite a bold look...
I also really love how the product doesn't clump either, and actually applies itself in reasonable thin, even layers to the lashes themselves - of course, the mascara also stays firmly in place all day long too (I mean, crying would probably cause some issues, but that can't be helped), and isn't too tricky to get off with makeup remover at the end of the day either, which is always a plus!
I don't really feel that there is all too much more to say in terms of the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara, other than that it is generally a really lovely mascara, and although my current bottle is probably no where near the end of it's life span yet, when it does eventually run out, I will definitely not hesitate in repurchasing it as I previously did!
