Benefit Besties Box Set

Wednesday, 4 January 2017

Recently, I wrote up a post about some of the bits and bobs that I received for Christmas. Surprisingly for me, that post was actually lacking in beauty items - this is because I didn't really receive all that much makeup for Christmas, as for me, it's probably pretty difficult to know what to buy when I already have amassed quite a large collection of beauty items!

However, I was lucky enough to receive a big box of goodies from one of my favourite brands... Benefit! When walking around Boots a good few weeks before Christmas, I happened to notice that the gift of the week (I think that it's called something like that) was a big old box full of Benefit Mini's. Clearly, my Mom picked up on the fact that I really loved the look of this particular gift, and when I opened it up at Christmas time, I felt pretty happy indeed to have received it and own all the little Benefit items inside... because, although I previously said that I own quite a lot of makeup, it must be said that you just can't own enough items from Benefit

In the post though, I thought I would just mention a little about the products that I received as a part of this rather fabulous box set - as the name of it mentions, inside you get a whole host of miniature versions of Benefit 'Best Sellers', which for me included some items that I have tried and loved before, and also some that are a bit new to me... including ;
A Mini High Beam - when it comes to liquid highlighting products, I have to say that this is certainly one of the best! I have now had a full-sized High Beam within my makeup collection for quite some time, and due to my immense love of this product, now feel very happy to also own a mini one too for whenever I run out, or go on holiday and want a travel-sized bottle.

A Mini They're Real Mascara - I must admit that I do prefer the Benefit Roller Lash mascara to this particular one, but in all honesty I'm certainly not going to be one to complain about that because you really can't ever have too many mascaras, and it will feel pretty good to have this one on standby for any eyelash related emergencies!

A Mini Hoola - how I love Hoola! I mean, what a bronzer?! Since I first started using this lovely item a few months back (I was pretty late to the Hoola party, I must admit!), I have been rather obsessed and using it pretty much day in, day out. Therefore, it does feel a bit of a relief to have another Hoola in my possession due the fact that I do feel rather close to hitting pan on my old one... and I really don't know how I would cope if I ever ran out!

A Mini Porefessional -  I think I may have about 10 of these primers now after amassing them from different Benefit sets over the years, but I'm certainly not going to complain about that either because when it comes to a primer as good as this one, that smoothes my skin so well before makeup application, it's a sure thing that I never want to run out of it!

Mini Gimme Brows - admittedly, I was also happy to see a couple of these within my gift set too, because over the past few months I have indeed found my other little bottle of Gimme Brow pretty useful when it comes to setting my brows in place after first sorting them out with my Archery Pen (by Soap&Glory).

A Mini They're Real Lipstick - at first, I thought this little 'They're Real' bottle actually contained eyeliner, which excited me greatly, but when I released that it was instead holding a lipstick I was still pretty pleased! I had heard a little about the new lipsticks Benefit were bringing out for a while, and although I am yet to actually give this particular one a try, I am pretty excited to see how it will look when applied.

As well as all the lovely beauty goodies in this box set, I also really love how Benefit have included a little makeup bag within the products too, as I'm sure I will find this incredibly useful to either pop in my handbag when I'm out and about, or in my travel bag when I go on holiday/ away for a few days... plus, the massive box that all of the above came in has also proved really quite good for makeup storage, and is now in one of my drawers!

I hope you all enjoyed this little roundup of some of my latest beauty additions from the Benefit Besties Set, as I am personally really happy that I received this set full of Benefit Best Sellers, which helpfully included some of my all-time favourite products from the aforementioned brand!
