And so Christmas is done and dusted again! I really hope you all had the most amazing Christmas time, enjoyed the festive season, and also got all that you wanted for the big day - I know that I personally received some lovely presents, and just as I did in a similar post last year, therefore thought I would share a few of my favourites with you all today!
Books - Of course, me being me, I had to ask for a couple of books for Christmas! The first being a really cool movie book that I had spotted in Urban Outfitters a few months back - being a real movie nerd, I just knew that this book would be perfect for me as soon as I saw it, as what with it's listing of 100 of the best films of the 20th Century (it's actual name is '100 All-Time Favourite Movies of the Twentieth Century' if any of you are interested), I could, and will, certainly get hours of reading out of it.
Another book that I also received for Christmas was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which again is a book that I have wanted to read for an incredibly long time after seeing nothing but excellent reviews on it. I am now almost finished reading this novel after taking it on my recent holiday to Spain with me, and must say that I have enjoyed it greatly and now can't wait to get round to watching the movie adaptation of it too! In terms of books though, you may also be able to see another couple of ones in the backgrounds of the above photos - these are a couple of really cool Beatles books that I also received for Christmas, one being a sort of fact book and the other being a 'Where's the Beatles' themed one (and both of which I also really love, considering I am a pretty big Beatles fan).
Kate Spade Earrings - I just love Kate Spade and all that said brand has to offer, but due to most of the items being a bit out of my price range (well, a lot out of my price range actually), the best route to go down with any of the items that I like, is to ask for them for Christmas...
I had noted how cute the earrings on the Kate Spade website were for a long time, but after putting other necessities like a new pair of Converse (see later in the post) on my list as well, hadn't really expected to receive any of the lovely earrings displayed. However, from my parents I did indeed receive a gorgeous pair of Kate Spade earrings, and am ultimately incredibly grateful that I did - since receiving them I literally haven't been able to stop wearing them due to just how nice they look with their cool glitter/confetti effect!
Ted Baker Goodies - I, in fact, didn't ask for anything from Ted Baker for Christmas (not like me at all), and yet still received two lovely pieces from said brand (which is one of my absolutely favourite brands, if you didn't already know). The first lovely gift that I received is a pretty pink pencil case from my Nan, which I just can't wait to start putting my pens and pencils in to use when I am out and about, or studying at home. The second present is from my parents, and is a really lovely little makeup bag that has the nicest pattern on, and will be going straight in my handbag to store all my beauty pieces in!
Converse - As I previously mentioned, a new pair of Converse were right at the top of my Christmas list and were pretty much a necessity to me considering that over the course of the past year a lot of my shoes have become pretty trashed, and definitely don't look very presentable anymore! After a little muse around a couple of shoe shops (namely Office and Schuh), I decided that a pair of grey low-tops were the right Converse for me, and after opening them up to take on my holiday and wearing for my entire week away, I can already say how much of a shoe staple they have become for me, seeing as they pair well with simply everything and are also super comfy!
I really hoped you all enjoyed this little round up of a few of my favourite Christmas pressies from this year, and seeing as we are on the subject of presents, I would love to know what you all received too in the comments below!
Plus, seeing as it is now 2017 (I know, how crazy!), Happy New Year everyone!!!!!
