New Max Factor Mascara

Wednesday, 28 September 2016

I must say that I got more than a little excited when Max Factor let me in on the fact that they are soon to be releasing a new mascara to their ever-growing collection of products...and then, just as I was getting over that wave of enthusiasm, I got even more animated when they asked if I would like to try one! I have never tried a Max Factor Mascara before, but have always been incredibly intrigued by their particular range of items, and have always wondered if they do in fact live up to the rather fantastic reviews that they so often get...

Therefore, I obviously jumped at the chance to finally try out one of said new mascaras...the mascara in question actually being the False Lash Epic, which I have to say is actually a very interesting product indeed, and one that I just couldn't wait to try out! Due to arrive in most drugstores (and generally all other places that stock Max Factor) in October, the False Lash Epic is part of the already rather well-known 'False Lash' collection, and is a mascara that heavily focuses on 'No Lash Being Left Unseen'!

As somewhat of a mascara fanatic (I do pretty much own a mascara from most brands now), I really couldn't wait to see how this one compared... As soon as I opened up my package though, and had a good look at my new makeup edition, I just knew that this product was going to be something pretty special - it's lovely gold bottle stands out a mile off, and gives the look of something really out of the ordinary. Plus, when I unscrewed the bottle and had a little peek at the brush itself, I was again very pleasantly surprised, due to the unique shape of this mascara's wand (it's actually separated into a couple of different sections; with a body brush to get to the main lashes, and also a zoom-action tip to reach all those smaller, finer lashes too), which you can get a better look at in the images below.

As soon as I had the opportunity to do so, I then gave this mascara an actual go (because what use is admiring the wand and bottle, if the mascara itself is no good!?). I was actually a little apprehensive to use such a different shaped and styled mascara on my lashes, but really did hope that my wait to try a Max Factor mascara would pay off in the end...hence why I felt very happy with the results of my first use. The brush itself actually does make mascara appliance a bit of a doddle, and makes it super easy to get the wand into even the smallest, most difficult to reach areas of the lash line. The formula of the mascara is also pretty fantastic, and ultimately creates a really bold look that lasts all day, as well as really boosting the lashes and helping to widen the eyes.

Although I have an absolute ton of other mascaras to get through (I really do need to start using them all a little bit more before they begin to dry out), I have concluded that after trying out this wonderful new mascara of mine, I will definitely be making it one of my makeup must-haves, and using it as often as possible. Despite never having owned a Max Factor Mascara before, my experience with this particular product has only been positive so far, and for that reason I will definitely be sure to take a further look at the rest of their range in future (which in my terms quite possibly means ending up buying several items from the brand after only going in to look at the mascaras...especially if there's a 3 for 2 on in Boots, as there so often is)!

All that's left for me to say now is, don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for when the False Lash Epic actually arrives in the shops (it will be most likely be in a shop near you very soon indeed), as it is most definitely worth the look at, if not worth the purchase too - you can probably tell that I do really quite love using this mascara so far, and am pretty sure whether you are a Max Factor fan or not, you will most likely really adore it too (I even saw a little piece in Look Magazine earlier today, where they were also singing this products praises...so now you definitely can't afford not to take a look at it!)
