How I love body sprays! For some reason spritzing myself with them and dousing my room in their glorious scent always makes me feel that little bit better...
The other day though, I realised that the vast majority of body sprays I own are actually by Victoria's Secret and upon this discovery I decided to round up all my bottles, and write a little post about why I seemingly love the VS Body Sprays so much!
Within my modest collection (which is probably in no way as big as other people's out there) I have two Pink body Sprays and also two of the own brand Victoria's Secret ones. None of them were really all that cheap to buy if I remember correctly (apart from my Aqua Kiss one that I got sent by the lovely LookFantastic team a few months back), but I do think you can often find offers on in VS when you buy such products- plus I don't think price really mattered to me all that much when I actually smelt how good the sprays are...
With all my body sprays laid out in front of me, I thought it would be nice to tell you a little about each of them, in case you are interested in either buying one of them for yourself, or maybe even as a gift (they do actually make really good gifts, as you can find the matching body lotions and shower gels to pair with them too instore) for somebody else. Of course, it's quite difficult to describe what said body sprays smell like, but I will try and depict the scents as best as I can as I go through this post (although you will probably want to smell them for yourself before buying in case my descriptions are way off, and at the end of the day everyone has different feelings about different scents and smells).
In any case, I will start with my two Pink Sprays which although I do love dearly, probably regard them as my least favourite compared to the two VS brand ones. Pink, if you didn't already know, is the sort of sister brand/ brand on the side of Victoria's Secret which sells a lot more fun, colourful clothing and underwear than the original VS Shop (also correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think Pink items are a little cheaper than VS ones too). As you have probably guessed, they also sell several body sprays and skincare-orientated items, which is where I came to own my two Pink sprays...
Fresh & Clean- this fragrance is perfect for day to day use, as just as it says on the bottle it does actually leave you feeling pretty fresh and clean. It's scent is pretty unique, and is reportedly meant to smell of apples and lily-for this reason, the spray is probably one of my most used, as I really love how it keeps me feeling refreshed throughout the day when I go to school etc. For £16.73 (this seems like such a random price but as that's what the site said, I'm just going to go with it), the thing that I'm not too fond of when it comes to this spray and the one below, is the bottle style itself (I do really adore the original VS bottles and in all honesty find them to look a lot classier when compared to these Pink ones).
Beach- I feel pretty much the same about this variation of fragrance as I do the previous one really, as I do absolutely love the smell of it- it really does smell pretty beach-like and is ultimately the perfect spray for summer! I have found myself reaching for this body spray again and again since I bought it about a year ago, although after looking on the website I am not too sure that they actually sell it anymore. However, I did notice that they in fact now sell travel-sized bottles of the Pink Sprays for around £9, which I do think actually sounds quite perfect and is something I will have to definitely keep in mind when I next go on holiday.
A bit about my two Victoria Secret sprays now then, and as you can probably tell from my previous comments I really do love both of these items. Both cost around £16, but again after looking on the website I found myself a little confused as it seems now that VS are completely changing up their fragrances, and are supposedly introducing new bottles and scents!? Nevertheless, I'm still going to talk about my now old versions of the fragrances, as it seems they won't be around in the same form (or maybe just the same bottles) for much longer...
Mango Temptation- this like my Beach fragrance, does have a real summer feel about it, which again gives me the constant want to keep reaching out and using it (especially at this time of year). From the name of the spray you can probably guess that it smells like mango, which it does, but I must say that on the whole it just has a rather fruity vibe about it- it really does smell gorgeous though (defintely one of those scents that seems good enough to eat) and as I am quickly getting though it, I will be quite sad when it runs out!
Aqua Kiss- my newest VS body spray is also one that I really do love, as again it has the whole package really of a lovely smelling fragrance and also a really cute bottle! This however is a completely different sort of scent from that of the Mango Temptation, as where that one is quite strong and bold as a fragrance, this one is quite light- smelling of flowers (apparently freesia and daisy) it is therefore the ideal body spray to use all year round as it's smell isn't specifically targeted towards one season if you get what I mean (sorry I really do waffle on a bit sometimes)!
As you can probably tell from the contents of this post, I do really love the Victoiria Secret body sprays (from their own brand and Pink also) and definitely do need to think about purchasing a couple more in the future (especially know that I have seen that they are completely changing them up). I do however, really really love the Hollister body sprays also and in fact used to own a fair few of them as well- I did actually get through about 3/4 bottles of the Hollister ones which is when I moved onto these VS ones, but perhaps I will have to try out a couple of old favourites (or new fragrances) from there in the future too!
Either way you look at it though, I am a big body spray fan and pretty much just relish in trying to make myself smell as good as possible on a daily basis (I usually spritz on one of the above, and then also pop some perfume on as well), and fragrances like the ones above make it super easy to do just that!
Have you ever tried out any of the Victoria's Secret Body Sprays? If so, what did you think of them?
