It occurred to me the other day, that July was in fact almost over and I hadn't yet even contemplated what on earth I was going to feature in my Favourites post for said month. The months seem to have been flying past me way too quickly this year, and I in fact didn't even write a Favourites for the month of June, as my life was way too full of exams at that particular time, and in all honesty it probably didn't feel like two seconds since I had thought out my favourite things for the month before either.
This month though, despite the end of the July creeping up on me rather quickly, I did find it quite easy to come up with some bits and bobs that I have been loving over the past four weeks (or thereabouts). Since my exams have ended and my holiday has started, I have been able to buy and enjoy a lot more things...hence this post will feature some new makeup and clothing items, as well as a bit of of an appreciation for the holiday that I recently went on in late June and early July...
New Real Techniques Additions
All too many times I have mentioned my sincere love of the Real Techniques Brushes, and have known for some time now that I did need to purchase some more for myself. A couple of weeks ago, I therefore popped into Boots and got myself two more of the beautiful Real Techniques brushes to add to my collection- the brushes that I bought being the Sculpting Brush and also the Shading Brush (you can find both brushes HERE).
I really fancied getting myself a new, different style contour brush from what I already own, so the Sculpting Brush is simply perfect for me! The shape of this brush is just divine, and is perfect to apply bronzing/contouring products, as it gets them right into the depths of the cheekbones to help add more shape to the face. I have also fallen totally in love with the Shading Brush, because as a hoarder of all things eyeshadow (I really do struggle to walk past a gorgeous looking eyeshadow palette without buying it, or at least wanting to do so) I really did also need a new brush to apply my favourite eye related products. This brush is perfect to blend in the different layers and shades of eyeshadow that I like to wear, and it also gets well into the crease of my eyelid to create a fantasticly smooth-looking, smokey eye effect.
Makeup Revolution 'Fortune Favours the Brave' Eyeshadow Palette
As I previously mentioned, I am obsessed with eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes- hence why, when I saw the 'Fortune Favours the Brave' palette sat on the Makeup Revolution shelf in Superdrug, I just knew I had to buy it. You can find this lovely palette right HERE, but I will tell you that it does only cost around £10, which I have to say is a pretty good price considering you get 30 highly pigmented shadows for your money's worth!
I won't go into all that much detail on this particular product, as I do actually plan on writing a full post/review about it at some point in the future. However, what I will say is that I am absolutely loving using this palette, and am currently doing a pretty good job at getting through all the shadows, and trying out lots of shade combinations which is why I definitely felt the need to feature it in my July Favourites.
Beautiful Oasis Clothes
I must say that I have never really bought myself anything from Oasis before, and never really regarded it as one of those shops that I head straight for when shopping. That all changed the other day though when, in Birmingham, I was unusually light on shopping bags and hadn't really purchased anything at all, so decided to have a little muse around Oasis.
As soon as I stepped through the doors of the store, I almost gravitated towards the lovely camisole you can see in the below photo (which is beautifully patterned, lightweight, and can be found HERE), and then later stumbled upon the gorgeous (and I mean gorgeous) jumper in the above photo (which is again incredibly cute with the most lovely, detailed collar I have ever seen in my life, and you can also find it HERE). I am aware that the items in Oasis are a little more expensive than clothes you can find elsewhere, and while I do love searching for a bargain every now and again, it is nice to save up my money a little to treat myself to items like these from time to time (and after trying these items on and seeing how well fitting and cute they actually look, I can assure that they are definitely worth the little bit of extra money).

I'm guessing that most of you who read my blog, now know that I recently went to California after I created a series of posts relating to my travels upon my return. Sorry to keep going on about it and all that, but I thought I would also include said holiday in my July Favourites, as realistically my travels did take up almost two weeks of the month of July.
I had been looking forward to my holiday for the best part of a year, and now it all seems so long ago (even though it was only two weeks ago) that is nice to reminisce about it a little. The searing sun, the endless lines of palm trees, and the days filled with exploring are still quite vivid in my mind, and I'm sure they will be for a very long time- I have made several posts about my holiday over the past few weeks in an attempt to keep the memories alive, and to serve as a photo diary to me and as a guide to any of you out there who maybe want to visit California one day. On my trip, I was lucky enough to visit Los Angeles, Disneyland, San Siego and also San Francisco (as well as travelling up the West Coast and seeing many of the beautiful beach areas), and am incredibly happy to have now ticked such amazing locations off my bucket list!
As you can probably tell, July was a pretty busy month for me, but of course for all the right reasons. I shopped, explored and generally had a really great time- posting more regularly on here also became a big part of the latter stages of my July, and I do hope I can continue posting every other day for another few weeks or so (at least until when I go back to Sixth form anyway), as I really am enjoying giving my blog a little more love.
Thank you for reading anyway, and I hope you all have a fantastic August!
