Worth the Money? Clinique High Impact Mascara

" I won't cry for you, my mascara is too expensive " - Adriana Lima

A very accurate quote on all accounts, is the one above, considering that when you buy expensive mascaras, you don't want to waste a single molecule of the stuff. I love a good mascara, and my makeup draws are filled with dozens of types and brands, of all different price ranges. I have Maybelline Drugstore mascaras that I have loved, and Benefit High End ones that I also adored- but now I have moved onto yet another rather expensive mascara from a rather high end makeup brand...that mascara being the Clinique High Impact....

With a price tag of £17.50 and a ginormous bottle of product that is destined to not run out for the foreseeable future, this mascara definitely looks the part (as do all the other Clinique mascaras and Clinique products), but at the end of the day, is this mascara worth the money?

I will get straight to the point here, and say that in short yes, this mascara is worth it's price tag. Sure, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of cheaper alternatives out there, but it has to be said that some of those mascaras definitely do not possess the same high quality as this little gem. Clinique as a brand have a fantastic reputation for amazing quality products, and this mascara is no exception- the brush on this product lets you get to every single eyelash possible, and the mascara itself really boldens and excentuate the eyes in an unbelievable way,

This mascara is definitely the subject of a case of 'you get what you pay for', Granted, some people might find the price tag for this product a little bit over the top for something they can find for a quarter of the price elsewhere; but the truth is that you won't find a product like this anywhere else. I have to personally say that I do, in fact, prefer this Clinique mascara to that of my Benefit ones (shock horror)! The ease of application is a lot higher than my They're Real mascara, and the layer of mascara is a lot better than my Rollerlash (without looking clumpy, of course), which leads me towards thinking that Clinique may well be my brand of choice when buying mascaras in future.

Of course though, not everyone will feel the same way about this mascara as I do. It's only natural to favour different styles and brands of mascara- but, I personally would recommend this particular one to anyone out there in search of a new one. You do kind of have to dig deep into your pockets for this product, but trust me that empty, void of money feeling will disappear once you see how lovely this mascara looks on, and how lovely it still looks even 8 hours later!

  1. Hmm, have to say that I have never used a mascara from Clinique as I go to them for foundations but I might pick this up. Great review.
