I don't think I have ever actually wrote a post about haircare products, let alone the haircare products that I love and use most often. Therefore, today I decided that it was the day to finally take that step, and let you all in on the haircare bits and bobs that I most recommend, and am most unable to tear myself apart from...
1. Literally anything with Argan Oil in it!
I will start with a hair saviour of mine (and I mean saviour in the fullest sense of the term), that amazing substance being Argan Oil. This time last year, my hair was not in a good place. Thin, lifeless and just downright gross was my hair at the period in time- it desperately needed a new lease of life, and something to make it jump back into action again as the once unruly mass that it was.
That's when I discovered the wonders of Argan Oil products. There's a vast range of said products out there for all prices, and the vast majority of them do exactly what they claim to do on the bottle- they sooth your hair to leave it glossy and glowing, and in my experience help it look healthier than ever before.
With products that contain Argan Oil though, I would recommend only using them say, once a week, as too much of this sort of product can leave your hair a little on the greasy side (there is a line between glossy and too glossy after all)! However, if you are willing to step out and try an Argan Oil product I recommend having a good look at reviews and on the Boots website- I'm currently using the OGX one, which is quite pricey (but incredibly good), so if you want to spend a little less, it's worth having a look around first.
2. Also absolutely anything from Aussie
Aussie are by far my favourite hair care brand at present- their range of products spans far and wide, and each and every one of said products smells absolutely incredible and gives you a gorgeous holiday-like scent every day of the week.
I have only owned a few products from Aussie in the past, my favourite of which being the Beach Mate range which is perfect to create soft, summer ready hair (plus it also smells like a summer holiday, so if you are stuck in dreary weather you can still feel perked up and imagine that you are in fact in a hotel near a beach in some exotic destination, and not in the shower at home with the rain battereing the window beside you). Currently, I'm loving using the Frizz Remedy by Aussie, becuase I find it a really useful product to spritz on my hair every so often to keep the frizz and knots at bay, as well as keep my hair soft after I have curled it or applied a lot of heat.
3. Hair Masks
These are a bit of a new addition to my hair care selection, but after receiving a couple of small hair masks in my M&S Advent Calendar back in December, I realised how worthy a product these actually are! Hair Masks, like their skin counterparts, are essentially designed to treat your hair and give it a bit of a boost from time to time. You can find all manner of brands now offering Hair Masks, for all manner of different price ranges (which is again why I would definitely recommend having a muse through the masses before actually deciding on the product for you).
I, so far, have tried only a couple of hair masks as I always completely forget to look for, or try out hair masks in my daily life. Not so long ago, I tried a sample of the Loreal Clay Hair Mask- this was quite a weird product, I must admit, as with its clay properties it almost felt like it welded my hair together upon application. However, once I had washed it all out, my hair did feel nice and revived so the grossness beforehand was quite clearly worth it in retrospect. Nowadays, I prefer to opt for the Swell Hair Mask. With this one, you just pop into your hair for a few minutes, and then wash out; it doesn't take all that much effort to apply, and quite honestly leaves your hair feeling very nice afterwards.
In the future I would also like to try...
I have spent this entire post rambling about the hair care products that I do currently own and love, but of course there are still many more products out there that I would like to try.
A particular brand that I would like to indulge in on the hair care front is Bumble&Bumble- I have heard all too many good things about this brand and their range of products, but have never actually gotten round to purchasing anything by them considering how expensive their range seems to be. From what I have heard though, this line of hair products are pretty lovely, so I will definitely have to grab a couple of their bits and pieces in the near future.
I would particularly like the try one of their sets (for example the Surf Set in the above image), or something from the Thickening or Full Potential ranges.
I hope you all enjoyed this post anyway, as I know that I really enjoyed having a wrote about my favourite haircare products of recent times!
What haircare products could you not live without?- let me know in the comments below, as I would absolutely love to find out about, and try some new products out!!
