My Current Fragrance Favourites

Sunday, 14 February 2016

I just love spritzing myself with all manner of body sprays and fragrances, as there's nothing better than smelling nice (or at least thinking that you do)! Perfumes are a particular love of mine, which is a frustrating obsession to have considering how expensive fragrances actually. Therefore, I find that I can only get them after saving up, or more likely as presents at birthdays and Christmas.

Luckily, it was very recently my birthday, and not long before that it was in fact Christmas. So, I actually added two new scents to my collection within about a month...please say hello to Prada Candy and YSL Black Opium.

Prada Candy is a perfume that I have been after for some time, but it's in no way an everyday purchase as at £45 (at the very cheapest) it is pretty pricey. There's a few different versions of the candy perfume nowadays (florale, and a lighter bottle whose name in not sure of), but I actually opted for the original as it was ultimately the fragrance that I had fallen in love with, what feels like, many moons ago.

I think that it is a very versatile fragrance, and is easy to wear on a daily basis due to it not being too overpowering. It's quite sweet (it is called candy after all), and just adds that extra finish after a spritz of body spray. The bottle is also very lovely, and very unique because of it's little push down bit at the top, to dispense the fragrance.

YSL Black Opium was one of those perfumes that I thought I would hate, but in fact ended up loving. It's scent is quite different from that of what I would usually go for-it smells quite strong, and is pretty much the polar opposite to Prada Candy. However, this is the reason that I adore it so much-I love having two very different fragrances within my reach, as it makes it incredibly easy to pick and choose considering on how I'm feeling that day (some days I prefer a lighter perfume, and some days I prefer a more intense one)!

The Black Opium bottle is fantastic as well, not to mention that in it's gift set I received a YSL nude nail polish also (which I have to say is a gorgeous colour).  I think this perfume's bottle is a lot easier to travel with, what with it having a little lid over the top whereas Prada Candy doesn't. It's also glittery, and all round very cute...to my relief (and my mom's as she bought it) considering it costs around £40 at the cheapest.

I don't think I have ever really talked about the fragrances I own and love before, so hopefully you all enjoyed a little something different.

I'm always on the lookout for new perfumes and body sprays though, so please comment below and tell me your current favourites...

  5. Black Opium sounds like such an interesting scent! I think I would definitely enjoy that one. Candy sounds a bit too sweet for me, though. But who knows? I'll definitely have to smell them when I see them!

I love (LOVE) Burberry's fragrance London. It's a musky scent, which I love. It is my all-time favourite :)
