I'm always spotting products in other people's blog posts and videos that I too would like to own, and the Clinique Chubby Contour Stick was no exception. Last week I finally got round to purchasing it, and after mentioning so on both my Twitter and Instagram, quite a few of you asked for a review of it....so here we go!
Packaging-the packaging of this product is pretty similar to that of most other Clinique makeup items;placed inside on their cute flowered boxes. The actual item is also quite similar to all the other Chubby Sticks that Clinique have to offer, with its silver lid and silver turning mechanism on the bottom-however it is bigger than other chubby sticks (I think!) as it is to be used on the cheeks and face instead of smaller features such as the eyes or lips. I however still think this stick is extremely practical, as you can quite easily pop it inside your makeup bag when going out or travelling.
Price-I wouldn't say that any of Clinique products are cheap, and at £19 this particular item definitely wasn't either. But, I do believe that this is a case of you get what you pay for-the high quality is definitely there, and after winding up the contour stick I can see that there is a lot of the item to get through, and it will absolutely last me for a good few months (if not more).
Colour-I was in fact a little worried that this particular shade of bronzer (there is only one shade available sadly) might not suit me due to how fair skinned I am. However, it does seem that you can very easily blend this product into your skin, and add more or less to actually make it work for you.
Quality-As with most Clinique products that I have tried, I can instantly see that the quality of this contour stick is incredibly high. As I previously mentioned, there is a lot of product to get through and with its creamy consistency you can contour all parts of your face (it even makes its incredibly easy to add definition and shadow to your nose due to its chubby stick style). Furthermore, it stays put all day, and in all weathers (trust me, if it stays on in the English weather it will stay on anywhere!)
Overall, I am really enjoying using this product so far, which is a good feeling considering I have been after it for such a long time. The one negative point to this item though, is that you can only purchase it in the one shade, but if you are on the fence of whether to buy it or not, I would on the most part encourage you to go for it as I'm sure you can (like me) make it work for you and your skin tone.
Thank you for reading,
