Then one fateful day at the Clothes Show, my eyes fell upon the NYX Brow Pomade and I just knew I had to try it! (Although you can also purchase it from Boots.com)
After using my archery pen for months on end, I was used to simply filling my brows in with a tip-it was easy and it was quick. Therefore, the prospect of intricately applying a brow pomade with a brush seemed a pretty daunting prospect. But, I needn't have worried myself. Whilst at the Clothes Show, I also bought myself the Nanshy Angled Detailer (I mentioned these purchases in another recent post), and just using that one tool makes filling in my brows a piece of cake!
All I have to do, is dip my brush in the pot and sweep it on my brows pretty much as I would have done with my pen beforehand. Yes, it is a little more fiddly, but now my eyebrows are so much more defined and frame my face in a much fuller way.
The colour I bought was brunette, as I am a brunette, and it suits my brow and hair colour as well as (if not better than) my archery pen. It also stays put all day long, with little more than a couple of hairs falling out of line-something that I was very pleasantly surprised to see.
But will I repurchase such a product, or will I just go back to my old favourite?
Right now I would have to say that pomade products are the way forward for me, and for anyone else who wants to have much fuller defining brows. There are so many potted brow products out there-the Anastasia Dip Brow is next on my list, and I can't honestly believe that I shied away from them for so long!
